Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Response Driver in Lillington NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal at a government corrections location as an armed driving patrol professional. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors document observations and respond to situations with calm professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas including buildings grounds and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas verify identification and/or authorization as required and assist with processing entries exits and deliveries per post orders.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site staff and/or public agency partners as needed.
- Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports preserve observations and evidence when applicable and communicate significant activity to supervision and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
