Product Management Internship Emergency Lighting

General information

We are looking for a Product Management Intern to join our Emergency Lighting team in Rotterdam. This internship offers handson exposure to how technical products are developed improved and managed throughout their lifecycle within a regulated safetycritical industry.

You will work closely with Product Management Engineering Quality and Sales supporting real products used in essential emergency and safety applications.

Location: Rotterdam / Hybrid

Duration: 6 months

Start date: March or as soon as possible

Your responsibilities

Support product managers with data analysis (product performance quality metrics market data)
Prepare clear presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Assist in product lifecycle activities (updates improvements phase-outs)
Help translate technical and engineering inputs into structured product requirements
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to understand emergency luminaire behavior components and standards
Support competitive analysis and product benchmarking

Your background

Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data (Excel PowerPoint; BI tools are a plus)
Excellent communication skills
Fluent in English (spoken and written) Dutch and/or French is a plus.
Ability to understand basic engineering principles particularly related to:
Electrical components Batteries and power systems Lighting and luminaires
Curious mindset structured working style and attention to detail
Interest in product management and technical products

Nice to have

Background or ongoing studies in Engineering Business Data or Product Management
Experience with technical documentation or industry standards
Interest in safety sustainability or energyefficient technology

In general:

A fun and challenging internship in which you get the opportunity to work in an international organization. We also offer an internship allowance of 650 gross (Applied Sciences) or 750 gross (University) for a 40hour workweek.

In addition you can count on a fixed day off per month. Travel expenses No addition to your student public transport we reimburse 50% of the travel costs.
