Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system UChicago Medicine as a Physical Therapist I (Outpatient/Musculoskeletal) at the Hyde Park campus.
In this role the Physical Therapist performs advanced/specialized physical therapy services/procedures and consultations primarily in area of advanced clinical competency and/or specialty certification. With responsibilities that include supervising and providing clinical instruction for affiliating DPT students during full-time clinical rotations and participating in program development and supporting research and quality/performance improvement initiatives.
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our Outpatient Musculoskeletal service line. This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad spectrum of patients and complex orthopedic conditions in a collaborative academically oriented environment. You will be supported by experienced mentors collaborate with highly skilled colleagues and practice with meaningful clinical autonomy.
Our program also maintains a collaborative partnership with the renowned Shirley Ryan Abilitylab providing access to advanced learning opportunities interdisciplinary collaboration and exposure to nationally recognized rehabilitation expertise.
Essential Job Functions:
Required Qualifications:
Requires graduation from an approved physical therapy school.
Requires current physical therapy license in the State of Illinois (or eligibility to practice)
Knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-specific and appropriate care for the patient populations served.
Basic computer proficiency.
Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive interactions with patients families the multidisciplinary team and external contacts.

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
