Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Raleigh NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location you will conduct routine mobile and on-foot patrols remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and respond to reports with calm clear communication. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or License and a valid drivers license meeting AU Driver Policy requirements. You will support a caring culture built on integrity teamwork and reliable service.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
- Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal post orders applicable laws and site policies helping to deter prohibited activity through professional presence.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting staff with disturbances medical calls and facility alarms as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings grounds perimeter areas and controlled access points; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
- Complete required reports and logs such as incident reports shift activity reports and chain-of-custody documentation and communicate observations to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
