As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Gatehouse Full-Timein Cedar Rapids IA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location where you will manage access control greet employees and visitors verify credentials issue badges and track entries and deliveries. You will conduct routine patrols and stay visible to help discourage security-related issues while communicating clearly with site teams. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees contractors drivers and/or visitors by following site-specific access control procedures badge checks and visitor processing requirements.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for an industrial location including logging arrivals and departures verifying credentials and directing traffic to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following post orders and emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including doors gates loading docks and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Complete reports and documentation for security-related incidents access events patrol findings and/or policy violations and communicate updates to site leadership as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
