Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Grafana Dashboard Specialist to lead the creation of robust dashboards for comprehensive end-to-end monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production support monitoring with a keen understanding of the metrics that matter to both technology teams and management.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
Candidate must be located within commuting distance ofCalgary Alberta or be willing to relocate one of these areas.

Design and develop Grafana dashboards to provide clear actionable insights for end-to-end monitoring.
Leverage log aggregation and analysis to build insights from logs presenting them as meaningful metrics on Grafana dashboards.
Collaborate with technology and management teams to identify key metrics and ensure they are effectively represented on the dashboards.
Integrate data from various sources including AppDynamics microservices Spark Jira and ServiceNow into Grafana for real-time monitoring and alerting.
Develop custom Unix/Python scripts to automate the retrieval of logs and other data feeding this information into Grafana.
Create and manage alerts in Jira and ServiceNow for enhanced tracking and reporting of key metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent problem-solving skills attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Support the production non-prod environment troubleshooting and optimizing dashboards for performance and accuracy.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with both technical teams and management.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
