We specialise in infrastructure construction with a strong focus on reinforced concrete. Our current projects span a wide range including bridges wharves water treatment plants storage tanks and pipelines.

We are looking for a Crane Operator to join our Civil Construction Team here at Fulton Hogan. The main yard will be based out of Ranui West Auckland but you will be required to travel to and from projects and from time to time you may be required to work away from home.

With a modern fleet of cranes consisting of 50t -280t lattice boom crawler cranes and 25t 35t rough terrain cranes. You will be highly experienced and confident in operating this range of fleet.

Working closely with the Site Supervisor youre the vital link to safe accident-free crane and lifting operations good planning identifying foreseeable hazards and addressing risks will be detailed on your lift plans. You will be a confident communicator and enjoy being part of a small close-knit team.

In addition to the above you will:

Conduct prestart checks risk assessments and be part of toolbox meetings
Ensuring lifts meet site including OEM limits e.g. radius load wind speed
Provide constant and clear communication with dogmen riggers crews and supervisors
Undertake routine complex lifts and piling work on our projects
As required operate different types of plant and machinery as well as undertake dogman tasks

Were looking for someone with:

Have US27676 and US3795 or NZ Certificate in Cranes (Level 3 or 4)
Hold a Class 4 NZ drivers licence and WTR endorsement
Have sound knowledge understanding and experience of crane operations
Piling experience in particular operating vibro and hydraulic hammers
Be alert have good vision and is physically fit
Positively promote and incorporate Health Safety and wellbeing on all aspects of work
