Job Description
An outpatient physical therapist with associated university degree and current valid SC PT license to help patients regain mobility manage pain and improve their overall quality of life. Job tasks may include:
Consultation and Assessment including:
oConsulting with patients to understand their physical condition symptoms and medical history.
oAssessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.
oDeveloping personalized treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques .
Treatment Planning and Implementation including:
oCreating individualized rehab programs for patients.
oUtilizing various treatment methods such as therapeutic exercises manual therapy and modalities (e.g. heat cold ultrasound).
oEducating and Coaching patients on therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition .
Providing Hands-On Therapy and Pain Management techniques including:
oManual therapy joint mobilizations soft tissue mobilization etc.
Maintaining patients electronic medical record including:
oMaintaining accurate patient records tracking goals and progress.
oDocumenting adaptations to treatment plans based on patient response and changing needs.
oAdvising patients and their families on in-home treatment options and recovery expectations and appropriately documenting education.
