Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the IMCU at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital.
Full-Time Rotating shifts
The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty areas and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives focuses on simplifies workflow and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
Our IMC unit provides care for patients who require a higher level of monitoring and support than a medical-surgical unit while still allowing nurses to build strong foundational skills in assessment critical thinking and time management. Starting your career on an IMC unit offers an excellent transition fromnursingschool into practice with exposure to complex patients close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and strong mentorship to support your professional growth and confidence.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment diagnosis outcomes identification planning implementation coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics culturally congruent practice communication collaboration leadership education evidence- based practice /nursing research quality evaluation resource utilization and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Previous Nursing Experience
Education Required:
RN-Bachelors Level Degree or
RN-Masters Level Degree or
RN-Doctorate Level Degree
Certifications Required:
Registered Nurse License (RN) - Other/National
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
