Job Summary
Job Summary Provides support to the operation of the Laboratory by assisting with pre-analytical and post-analytical processes resulting in optimal patient outcomes. Responsible for assigned shifts and subject to overtimeand call back as required. Performs other duties as assigned. |

Experience Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Hospital phlebotomy experience. |
Education Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard |
English in written oral and verbalformat to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties. |
Training Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Training as acquired in an approved phlebotomy training program or High School Diploma or equivalent |
Special Skills Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Computer skills. Basic computer literacy. Demonstrated competency in: -Performing pediatric phlebotomy procedures (heel stick finger stick venipuncture) -Knowledge of the various needle sizes as to gauge length and purpose -Knowledge of the types of evacuated tubes by color code the anticoagulants & additives present -Knowledge of the factors that influence the integrity of a blood specimen -Proper |
