About the Role:
The school is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Pastoral Support Officer to work closely with year groups supporting pupils across a range of emotional behavioural and wellbeing needs. You will help maintain positive behaviour systems monitor attendance respond to concerns and build strong relationships with students and families.

This position is ideal for someone who is patient confident working with young people and able to remain calm in challenging situations. You will play a crucial role in helping students develop resilience self-esteem healthy routines and positive attitudes towards their learning.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group pastoral support to pupils with wellbeing or behavioural needs.
Monitor attendance punctuality and behaviour implementing intervention strategies.
Work with safeguarding leads SEN staff and external agencies to support vulnerable students.
Support reintegration meetings restorative conversations and behaviour reviews.
Help coordinate pastoral programmes assemblies and enrichment activities.
Maintain accurate records incident logs and pastoral documentation.
Build strong supportive relationships with students parents and carers.
Encourage positive behaviour through consistent boundaries and supportive guidance.
Respond calmly to incidents supporting students to regulate emotions and reflect.
Promote student safeguarding and wellbeing in all aspects of school life.

Requirements:
Experience working with young people (school experience preferred but not essential).
Strong communication behaviour support and conflict-resolution skills.
A patient caring and resilient approach.
Ability to work effectively with multi-agency teams.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
