Job Description:
An AutoCAD professional in a machine manufacturing company isresponsible for translating engineering concepts and rough sketches into precise 2D drafting and 3D modeling for machinery parts and production layouts. They ensure that designs comply with manufacturing standards facilitate the production process and maintain technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Technical Drawing Creation:Develop detailed 2D fabrication drawings assembly drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD.
- Design & Engineering Support:Convert rough sketches verbal instructions and conceptual designs from engineers into accurate technical plans.
- Production & Layout Planning:Plan layouts for machinery tools and plant infrastructure to optimize production workflows.
- Fabrication Details:Prepare detailed drawings for sheet metal welding machining and structural steel components.
- BOM & Documentation:Create Bills of Materials (BOM) and maintain proper documentation revisions and CAD libraries.
- Quality & Standards Compliance:Ensure all designs meet industry standards (e.g. ASME ISO) and company quality guidelines.
- Revisions & Changes:Modify existing drawings based on engineering change notices (ECN) feedback or production requirements.
- Collaboration:Work with production quality and R&D teams to identify and implement improvements in manufacturing processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD:Expert-level knowledge of 2D drafting (mandatory) and 3D modeling (preferred).
- Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of mechanical design principles GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes (machining welding sheet metal).
- Education:ITI Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience:15 years in machine design industrial equipment or manufacturing with familiarity in CAD software like SolidWorks or Solid Edge often preferred.
- Attention to Detail:Ability to create precise accurate drawings with minimal errors.
- Soft Skills:Strong communication teamwork and the ability to work under strict deadlines.
