Learn more: As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location you will drive between assigned areas and conduct routine patrols staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will observe and report concerns support access control as needed and provide professional customer service and clear communication to guests and staff. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients visitors and/or employees by following security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including customer disputes suspected theft and/or disruptive behavior and communicate updates to store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors entrances receiving areas parking lots and perimeter areas to help to deter theft vandalism and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances and high-traffic areas observe for suspicious activity and report concerns promptly while maintaining a professional presence and assisting with directions and general questions.
- Complete written and/or electronic reports document incidents and daily activity and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when requested by site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 years of security experience is required.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
