Position Description:
The University of South Florida (USF) School of Aging Studies is seeking a 12-month Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction to align with its academic goals. The start date of the position is August 7 2026. The position is renewable for one additional year. The person in this position will be responsible for covering existing classes in the School of Aging Studies. The person in this position will be responsible for covering four classes each Spring and Fall and two in the summer. This position will be based in-person at the USF Tampa campus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in Gerontology or a related field (e.g. Social Work Sociology Nursing) from an accredited institution
Teaching experience in Gerontology at an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Gerontology or a related field (e.g. Social Work Sociology Nursing) from an accredited institution
Teaching experience both in-person and on-line graduate and undergraduate courses in Gerontology at an accredited institution
Teaching experience with large general education courses
Experience in curriculum development and assessment of student performance
