Job Summary
Inventory Control Analyst
Location: Atlanta GA
Starting Pay: $42.69 and up (based on experience) 1st shift
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inventory operations including inbound receipts outbound shipments internal stock transfers and inventory reconciliations
- Review and approve inventory adjustments to maintain accurate real-time stock levels
- Investigate inventory discrepancies identify root causes and partner with warehouse/logistics/systems teams to implement corrective actions
- Plan execute and validate cycle counts and physical inventories; document findings and corrective actions to support audit trails and continuous improvement
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory data and responding to inquiries
- Communicate with receiving picking and shipping teams to ensure inventory movements are properly documented and reflected in the WMS
- Maintain accurate inventory records in TECSYS (or other WMS) monitor data inconsistencies and correct errors promptly
- Support inventory-related system upgrades testing and configuration changes; document procedures and maintain user guides
- Generate standardized and ad-hoc inventory reports; analyze trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors Degree (experience may be accepted in lieu of degree)
- Preferred Education: Masters Degree
- Experience: 5 years of job-related experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency and strong data analysis capability
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills; ability to quickly retrieve manipulate analyze and interpret data
- Preferred Certification: Lean Six Sigma certification
Essential Functions (ADA)
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory issues and maintain accurate records
- Ability to perform computer-based work for extended periods including entering/reviewing transactions in a WMS and producing reports using Excel and related tools
- Ability to move safely throughout a warehouse environment to support cycle counts validations and inventory investigations including working near equipment and other employees
Work Environment
- Warehouse setting; work is primarily indoors with potential occasional outdoor exposure when moving between areas or docks
- May be exposed to equipment and machinery; noise levels can be distracting or uncomfortable at times
- Workspaces may not be temperature-controlled and can be hot or cold depending on season and location within the facility
- Work near others and may share the same workspace; may occasionally need to position self in tight or awkward spaces to verify inventory locations
