You will join Alstoms Technology Center in Villeurbanne (France) which is Alstoms specialized hub for the development of electronic products and generic software used across all Alstom railway applications: onboard electronic products telecommunications solutions trackside equipment products and centralized server solutions.

In this context you will join the team responsible for developing an entirely new hosting and execution platform for railway supervision services used in control centers (train monitoring regulation traffic management etc.). This new platform currently under development will be built on a microservices architecture organized around a publish/subscribebased data bus using the latest software technologies.

Your mission:

As a Verification and Validation Manager you will be responsible for:

• Defining the overall system validation strategy: plan objectives and test means.
• Leading the test automation strategy and ensuring the implementation of effective tools particularly with ALM4A solutions.
• Ensuring the proper execution of the strategy with the Bangalore teams by overseeing test quality scope results and identified defects.
• Contributing more broadly to the optimization of processes within the Concert program and to the application of the ALM4A suite both for validation activities and for specification requirements and configuration management activities.
• Acting as a liaison with our internal stakeholders to ensure the consistency of validation strategies.
• Leading the setup and maintenance of a sandbox environment for developer testing (internal developers or application developers).

You will report to the Program Manager be part of the programs core team and work closely with other engineering teams.

Your profile:

Masters degree or engineering degree in computer science / system design / networking / automation or equivalent.
Good knowledge of the validation process.
Basic knowledge in the following technologies/domains:

• Software solutions based on cloud / virtualization
• Supervisory systems / SCADA

Strong knowledge in the following areas:

• Development and validation processes
• Validation strategy and test specification
• Test environment test benches simulators etc.
• Network management and virtual machines

Minimum of 5 years of experience in system validation.
Prior experience in managing validation activities.
Ability to work in English: technical reading technical meetings design reviews email communication and specification writing.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with remote teams.
