Qualifications:
Required Education: HS/GED AND:
graduate of an approved Practical Nurse training program; or a recent graduate or a student nurse who will be graduating within 4-6 weeks
Required Skills:
Proficient nursing skills applicable to this position.
Must be proficient in typing.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to work successfully with a diverse group of faculty other staff and patients.
Must be able to follow directions and work as part of a team.
Must be able to follow patient safety and confidentiality (HIPAA) guidelines.
Required Licensure:
Must have a valid Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the State of Oklahoma; or in the case of a recent or upcoming graduate be eligible to obtain a license within 30 days of job interview.
Physical Requirements:
Outpatient medical environment and exposure dependent upon assignment. The essential functions of this position will involve mobility (walking; being able to stand for long periods of time during patient exams/procedures etc.). Dependent upon assignment must be able to lift up to 50 lbs in the function of patient positioning and assistance.

Bedlam LPN position
The OU Tulsa Bedlam clinic is seeking a compassionate patient-focused LPN who collaborates effectively with a team and would enjoy working in a training environment for medical students PA students and nursing students.
This full-time position will help our patients overcome healthcare barriers by assisting with outgoing and incoming calls and assisting patients with paperwork. Bedlam is a free clinic for uninsured individuals and we are celebrating 21 years of serving the Tulsa community!
Excellent hours - Monday through Thursday with extended hours on Tuesday and Thursdays until about 9:30 pm. Fridays off!
We are a high-functioning team of dedicated professionals at OU Tulsa where patients receive the latest medical advancements expected as a leading university clinic. The clinic is staffed with medical students Physician Assistant students and RN students who are closely supervised by faculty physicians. The Bedlam Clinic has been serving our community for 21 years!
LPN duties - The LPN works under the supervision of an Advance Practice Provider or physician performs routine patient care functions such as assisting the healthcare team with patient rooming and other clinical duties completing in-house lab tests information gathering chaperoning supply maintenance and scheduling. This individual also communicates with patients and facilitates the smooth operation of the clinic.
