Job Title: Licensed Psychologist
Location: Leavenworth KS Facility:
Work Arrangement: Onsite (Not Remote)
The Opportunity
A leading mental facility is seeking the expertise of a Licensed Psychologist. The companys health teams are dedicated to making lasting changes in the lives of those in their care while setting industry standards. As a Licensed Psychologist you will plan and implement all professional non-medical psychological service programs within the facility. You will lead the coordination of psychological services ensuring high-quality clinical care assessment and consultation in a fast-paced correctional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment: Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and record reviews.
- Treatment Planning: Develop implement and modify individual treatment plans based on patient needs and functioning levels.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Confer with psychiatrists physicians nurses and social workers to ensure integrated patient care follow-through.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide appropriate counseling and confrontation avoidance interventions for inmates in crisis.
- Facility Rounds: Conduct regular rounds in segregation or confined housing areas to assess mental health needs and adjustment.
- Staff Consultation: Consult with educational chaplain and security staff to gather information and provide clinical insights.
Education & Technical Skills
Must-Haves:

Education: Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.

Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice psychology in Kansas.

Clinical Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience including one (1) year in a comparable position.

Location: Ability to commute to Leavenworth KS or willingness to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
- Prior experience in a corrections or detention setting.
