Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Undertake design tasks and provide technical support for rolling stock passenger trains especially on brake and pneumatics
- Undertake asset replacement/refurbishment/modification projects and other capital and revenue works related to passenger trains
- Make recommendations to address technical problems of the existing system design propose long term technical solutions and attend technical investigation
- Compile technical specifications review design submissions attend site inspection and testing and commissioning activities
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years relevant design experience
- Solid experience in rolling stock design is an advantage
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)
Remarks
- Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Support Engineer Rolling Stock Engineering position
- Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
- Occasional business travel may be required
