  • Meet minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in social work or a related field from an accredited college.

    • Minimum of two years of experience in human services with at least one year of experience in the field of developmental disabilities (DD). If lacking one year of experience in field of DD must complete at least 40 hours of training in service delivery to persons with DD under a training plan reviewed by the Department within no more than three months of hire or designation as a case manager.

Additional Information

This position may be eligible for partial teleworkwithin the state of conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.

This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1 2026.

The primary location for this position is open for consideration in the Helena or Butte areas contingent on available workspace. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state and DPHHS policies.

This position is open until filled with frequent screening of applicants.

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities Division.

The Developmental Disabilities Program procures and supports community-based services for people with developmental disabilities and/or their families.

The DDP Targeted Case Manager is responsible for a comprehensive assessment and periodic reassessment of individual needs the development of and periodic revision of the plan of care referral and related activities to help the member obtain needed services and monitoring and follow-up Case Manager is responsible to ensure the quality of the plan of care.
