Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20 Pounds

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors staff and/or contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures access control requirements and post orders at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting concerns and coordinating with site leadership and/or public agency contacts as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances alarms cameras and/or other security-related systems when assigned and complete logs reports and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal requirements.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed including guiding evacuations managing crowd control and/or supporting first responders while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
