Where Youll Be Working

Once operational Resolution Copper has the potential to supply nearly 25% of US copper demand and create several thousand direct and indirect jobs in the Pioneer Mining District of Arizona. The project valued at several billion dollars over its lifespan will utilize a block caving technique to extract the deposit located more than 2000 meters below the surface. This method leverages gravity to remove the ore making it the most viable way to recover the resource.

About the Role

We are looking for a Hoist Control Specialist for the Resolution Copper Underground Operations and Maintenance Group which is responsible for the safe maintenance and operation of the existing physical assets consisting of deep shafts multiple mine levels and associated equipment and infrastructure.

What the role entails

Reporting to the Underground Operations & Services Supervisor you will be:

• Operating hoists to safely transport personnel and materials in the shaft
• Operating hoists and winches to safely perform hoist system maintenance activities including conveyances and shaft infrastructure
• Monitoring ventilation cooling and dewatering systems and dispatching personnel for repair activities
• Initiating and coordinating mine evacuation emergency response and trigger action response plans
• Monitoring and tracking personnel working underground

What you will need for this role

• Hoist operator experience or ability to complete a hoist operator training and qualification program within 3 months

• Ability to safely operate and monitor equipment utilizing an HMI (Human Machine Interface) control system
• Effective communication skills
• Please note to be considered for this role you must pass and comply with all fit for duty guidelines as established by the company. (Annual Hoist Physical)

It will also be beneficial if you have

• Underground operations and maintenance experience
• Experience in shaft operations & repair
• Experience in hoist systems maintenance
• Crane operator experience
• MSHA underground mine rescue qualification
