Position Overview:
This is a core role in APAC finance team responsible for end to end costing analysis control and accurate measurements of inventory and the other assets. The primary objective is to ensure accuracy of costing optimize inventory structure provide key decision support to management and ultimately enhance the companys profitability and operational efficiency. The role is also the key contract point with supply chain team and global costing team.
What Youll Do:
Cost Accounting & Management (30%)
Establish maintain and improve the standard costing system. Perform monthly closing activities related to cost of goods sold (COGS) ensuring accurate and timely product costing.
Conduct variance analysis (Purchase Price Variance Material Usage Variance Labor Efficiency Variance Overhead Variance etc.) investigate root causes and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Participate in new product cost estimation to support pricing and profitability analysis. Prepare cost-related reports and management analysis reports.
Inventory Management & Process Control (30%)
Manage all inventory-related accounting entries ensuring the accuracy and integrity of general ledger accounts
Oversee and execute annual physical inventory and asset counts with supply chain team. Analyze discrepancies propose and implement adjustment solutions to achieve alignment.
Monitor key inventory metrics (e.g. inventory turnover aging). Analyze slow-moving and obsolete inventory and collaborate with Supply Chain and sales team to develop action and prevention plans.
Review and validate internal processes related to inventory (PO receipt production issue/return finished goods receipt sales shipment) to ensure compliance with financial internal controls.
Financial Reporting & Analysis (20%)
- Complete month-end closing tasks related to cost and inventory.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports providing detailed cost and inventory analysis with explanations for fluctuations.
- Support annual audit by providing all necessary documentation related to cost and inventory.
System & Process Improvement (20%)
- Be proficient in and optimize the configuration and logic of the Costing and Inventory modules within the oracle system
- Continuously identify and drive process improvement opportunities in cost control and inventory management to enhance efficiency and data quality.
Who You Are:
- 58 years working experience in finance and accounting sufficient knowledge in costing and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills in APAC role and Matrix organization
- Knowledge and experience of Oracle EBS and SAP is a must.
- Good English in both read and written.
- Proficiency in use of MS Office in particular MS Excel/PowerPoint/Power BI
- Strong initiative and confident to handle complexity work under pressure and manage short lead-time deliveries.
- Highly organized with creative problem solving and good analytical skills
- Self-driven highly motivated and able to work independently
- Open-minded and active team player
- Focus on the process and result-oriented
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting is must.
- Accounting certificate such as CPA ACCA is a plus
