Were looking for a Paving Quality Assurance Technician to join our Paving team in Mt Wellington Auckland. Youll own the numbers and the detail on our paving projects from measurements and mix quantities to QA checks and documentation helping us deliver highquality surfacing work across Tāmaki Makaurau and beyond.
Mō te tūranga About the role
This is a handson sitebased QA role working closely with our paving crews on a mix of commercial subdivision private and industrial developments. Most days the vibe is relaxed and downtoearth but when its time to pour pave and check we switch on and get it right.
Youll support paving projects by running key quantitative tasks keeping material usage and measurements on track and making sure QA records are accurate on time and complete. Youll work sidebyside with operators supervisors and managers titles matter less than ideas and impact here.
Our paving work predominantly covers asphalt surfacing across Auckland with the chance to support projects around the North Island when needed.

Conduct regular QA inspections and tests on raw materials inprocess materials and finished surfacing
Complete prejob setup including recording hazards and controls paving plans area measurements string and mix quantity calculations
Record onsite surfacing activities and quantities (e.g. sealing milling and paving) so we know what went where
Collaborate with production and site teams to flag quality concerns and help implement corrective actions
Collect all relevant site documents at the end of each job complete and submit job summaries and QA records
Pitch in with general labourer tasks when needed we all muck in to get the job done
When the stakes are high we switch on pull together and deliver to a very high standard.

Minimum Class 1 Full licence (WTR endorsement is a bonus)
QA experience in civil/construction or similar testing experience
Strong calculation skills for metric measurements and quantities
Knowledge of surfacing materials and activities (highly desirable)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills youre comfortable on site and in the office
Good level of physical fitness and willingness to complete manual labour when required
A proactive cando mindset that fits a high expectations low ego team
