In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Work with strategic procurement colleagues to develop new supply sources to support existing and new product requirements.
• Develop and implement spend management strategies including supplier assessments rationalization and negotiation for the best total cost of ownership.
• Prepare co-develop and review the reverse auction process with Commodity Managers including detailed bid information analysis of detailed results negotiation and execution of contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
• Provide recommendations to management related to commodity cost trends material availability production options and alternatives.
• Collaborate with both internal and external legal counsel.
• Ensure up-to-date and manage changes in the procurement database.

For This Role You Will Need:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Computer Electronics and Communications Chemical Industrial Mechanical or other Engineering-related courses.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement within the manufacturing industry or in a supply chain role in a shared services industry.
• Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical/electronic commodities and can interpret engineering drawings and datasheets (specifications).
• Knowledgeable in environmental legislations (e.g. ROHS REACH etc.).
• Fair understanding of Supply Chain concepts and project management principles.
• Basic understanding of procurement systems and tools (ERP MRP SRM).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint Word and Outlook
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic understanding of online reverse auctions.
