About Press Enterprise:

Press Enterprise Inc. is the parent company of The Press Enterprise both a commercial printer and a daily newspaper published in Bloomsburg Pennsylvania. Our daily newspaper serves a wide area including Columbia County Montour County and Luzerne County. This includes the municipalities of Bloomsburg Danville Berwick Benton Millville Catawissa and Elysburg.

Our Commercial Printing Division provides SNAP certified Cold Web and Heat Set offset printing services. We print millions of retail inserts advertising supplements weekly/monthly newspaper format products and many other printed publications every week.

Prepress Technician Full time

A Prepress Technician creates paginates and processes electronic files. Ideal candidate should be able to pay close attention to details be a team player and have experience with Adobe InDesign and Photo Shop. We are willing train someone who shows up for work every day wants to learn and takes initiative.

Responsibilities:

• Page creation which includes art procurement and management text and template formatting and placement.

• Outputting and checking page proofs and plates.

• Maintenance and cleaning of processing equipment.

Shift Schedule: Full-time non-exempt. (1/2)

Tuesday 10AM-6PM

Wednesday - 10AM-6PM

Thursday - 9AM-5PM

Friday - 9AM-5PM

Saturday - 5PM to 12AM

Shift Schedule: Full-time non-exempt. (2/2)

Tuesday - 8AM-6:30PM

Wednesday- 9AM-6PM

Thursday- 8AM-6PM

Friday- 9AM-7PM

Stand by rotating Saturdays

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in InDesign
• Experience in photoshop
• Basic understanding of Excel spreadsheets.
