The Role

CCR is seeking undergraduate candidates for a 12-weekpaid internship to support our Project Development team. This team manages the development of solar and storage projects beginning with siteselectionand acquisition and managing all aspects of the projects development through itsmulti-year lifecycle.

We are looking for rising seniors who want to spend the summer learning the ins and outs of the current US solar and storage landscape while supporting Cypress Creeks growing solar and storage development platform. The Development team hasa strong desireto develop the intern who joins our team with the hope of this opportunity leading to a full-time offer upon graduation.

Some sample projects you may work on include:

Perform due diligence on prospective greenfield development and project acquisition opportunities including analysis of queue positions transmission rights regulatory/permittingprocessesand development statuses.
Supporta projects development lifecycle through internal/external team collaboration. This mayinclude:utilities municipalities environmental professionals legal counsel engineersand externalEPCs to successfully add value to developmentassets
Streamline and/or automatedevelopment team processeswhere potential opportunities exist
Support assigned team with day-to-day business activities

Qualifications

Must be a rising senior (you are currently a junior in college and after this summer will be going into your senior year)
Demonstrated interest to work in clean energy sector post college
Preferably have had 1 prior internship experience (OK if not in clean energy / clean tech)
Strong analytical written and presentation skills
Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
Creative problem-solving
Ability to collaborate between multiple departments with varying priorities
Embracing and living by the mission and values of Cypress Creek Renewables

Locations: The preferred location for this role is one of our offices. We have offices in Durham NC; Washington DC; NYC; Los Angeles CA; and San Francisco CA. Additionally we are on a hybrid schedule 3/week.

Compensation: The hourly rate for our undergraduate internships is $25/hr. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors including a candidates qualifications skills competencies and experience and location.
