Construction Management Representative

OVERVIEW

AtkinsRéalisis seeking aConstruction Management Representativeto join ourConstruction Management Team. This is anentry-levelposition and is based out ofSarasota FL Tampa FL or FtLauderdale FL.

YOUR ROLE

• Participates in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks. These tasks may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures performance of routine calculations and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.

• Observesconstructionactivities anddetermineswhether construction work is being performed in substantial compliance with contract plans and specifications andreportsobserveddeficiencies to senior field staff.

• Samples and Tests soil density concreteasphaltand other construction materials.

• Verifies form construction rebar placement concrete mixture pile driving blow counts

drainagestructureplacementsubgradeand base construction.

• Writes diary inspection reports weather reports and documents test results and

observations.

• Assistsin all types of record keeping and independently performs basic calculations to

measure track and report field measurements of installed quantities as needed.

• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to timedeemnecessary.

ABOUT YOU

• EXPERIENCE:Minimal experience isrequired ofincumbents with aBachelors Degreein a branch of Engineeringdirectly relatedto hiring discipline; no experiencewith aMastersdegree.

• EDUCATION:Completion ofBachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Managementdegree from an ABET accredited college/university.

• SPECIAL SKILLS:Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and to understand contract plans and

specifications. Must be able to follow directions take legible notes and be physically fit to

do manuallabor and carry up to 60 lbs.

• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS:No professional registrationbut shall actively pursue certifications in nuclear density aggregateconcreteand asphalt testing and/or other contractually required

certifications.
