AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
The AWS Marketplace team is looking for a Data Engineer to play a key role in building insights from our large and ever-growing sets of partner and customer data. Key job responsibilities
The Data Engineer will design develop implement test document and operate large-scale high-volume high-performance data structures for analytics. Implement data ingestion routines both real time and batch using best practices in data modeling ETL/ELT processes leveraging AWS technologies and data tools. Provide on-line reporting and analysis using business intelligence tools and a logical abstraction layer against large multi-dimensional datasets and multiple sources. Produce comprehensive usable dataset documentation and metadata. Provides input and recommendations on technical issues.

- 3 years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift S3 AWS Glue EMR Kinesis FireHose Lambda and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage document or key-value stores graph databases column-family databases)
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle including coding standards software architectures code reviews source control management continuous deployments testing and operational excellence

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
