Plant Manager

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Operations the Plant Manager will be responsible for driving the operational strategy for the Syracuse Plant including profit & loss growth strategy and organizational direction to meet and exceed short and long-term business goals. This is a union facility with approximately 400 employees.

Essential Functions:
Sets overall plant policies and procedures to ensure effective operations consistent with the Eaton Business System (EBS) including Eaton Lean System OpA MESH PROLaunch and MMA
Ensures the plant complies with all safety regulations and standards and proactively champions a culture focused on Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
Coordinates and directs through managers all functions of facility operations including but not limited to Manufacturing Mfg Engineering Safety Quality Supply Chain OpEx Human Resources and Finance
Emphasizes utilization of Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing tools (Kaizen VSM 5S) to lead cost improvement analysis and implement actionable measurable plans
Creates a culture of exceeding customer expectations ensuring that the organization is highly responsive to customer needs and issues
Accountable for the day-to-day decisions that directly impact the safety quality on-time delivery efficiency and profitability of the overall plant and identifies areas for improvement that align with business objectives
Maintains a workforce of highly motivated and engaged employees and drives compliance to the ethics policy by holding others accountable for ethical conduct
Attracts selects develops trains coaches appraises and motivates the workforce to drive talent management and development strategies
Assures timely and relevant communications and is responsible for establishing systems that would enhance intra- and inter-departmental communications
Assures that collective bargaining agreements are effectively administered

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing Supply Chain Finance OPEX and/or related support functions in a manufacturing environment is required
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience is required
Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Education:
An undergraduate degree is required. A Masters degree is preferred.

Compensation:
Eaton recognizes this role as a critical position within the corporation and will create a compelling package consisting of a base salary employee incentive compensation long term incentive and complete benefits.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $165000 - $242000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
