Job Summary
This is a remote position.
We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer (DevOps) for a comprehensive digital infrastructure modernisation project within the public sector.
The role of Platform Engineer is a full-time contract on a daily rate basis. Collaboration is primarily remote though occasional on-site meetings in Germany may be required. The project is set on a 12-month contract basis.
Fluent German is essential complemented by professional-level English.
Responsibilities
Building and operating high-availability cloud and on-premise platforms.
Administering and optimising Kubernetes clusters and OpenShift environments.
Automating infrastructure processes using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
Ensuring platform security particularly regarding certificate management and identity protection.
Assisting with the implementation of messaging systems and modern data-streaming solutions.
Requirements
Solid experience in Platform Engineering or DevOps.
In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenShift administration.
Practical experience in automation using Terraform and Ansible.
Proficient with scripting languages such as Python Bash or Go.
Ideally prior experience with HashiCorp Vault and PKI systems.
Knowledge of Kafka distributions (e.g. Confluent) is an advantage.
Experience delivering complex infrastructure projects within regulated environments.
Fluent written and spoken German (essential).
Professional-level English is required.
Valid residency and work permit for the EU EEA UK or Switzerland.
