The Department of Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham ( UAB ) is pleased to announce a new recruitment for additional academic surgical pathologists due to growth and expansion of our subspecialty sign out. We are inviting applications from qualified candidates at all ranks for a full-time tenure earnings/tenured position through the Department of Pathology School of Medicine.
Required Qualifications
The candidates should have an M.D. or D.O. or M.D. Ph.D. Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology and be eligible for a license to practice medicine in Alabama. The successful candidate beyond starting Assistant Professors should have a national reputation in academic pathology and a track record of a competitive basic translational and/or clinically focused research program.
Preferred Qualifications
Subspecialty expertise in Genitourinary (GU) pathology will be favorably considered.
