You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop robust data pipelines ensure data integrity and enhance cloud data infrastructure. Please note: This role requires an active Reliability Status (PSPC) or the ability to obtain one. Candidates who already hold Reliability Clearance will be prioritized.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design develop and maintain scalable data solutions in Snowflake
  • Manage Snowflake environments including warehouse configuration and compute resource optimization
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries data models and transformation logic
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using Python and/or PySpark
  • Implement data validation reconciliation and testing processes to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues across data workflows
  • Support deployment release management and ongoing platform enhancements within AWS environments

QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related field
  • 36 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake including environment and compute resource management
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • Working experience with Python and/or PySpark
  • Experience working in AWS cloud environments
  • Hands-on experience with data validation testing and quality assurance processes
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
  • Previous experience in Financial Services or Insurance is an asset
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience optimizing performance and cost management within Snowflake
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows
  • Exposure to enterprise data governance and data quality frameworks
  • Experience working in regulated environments
