Regional Marketing and Sales Manager - Northern and Central Europe

In this role you help shape a safer more sustainable and resilient energy landscape. You will lead the commercial strategy for Electrification Service Netherlands supporting customers across industry data centers and utilities with low- and medium-voltage service solutions.

What you will do

As Marketing & Sales Manager Electrification Service NL you own the full commercial performance of the business strengthen our market position and lead a team of 6 direct and 10 indirect reports.

You set the direction shape the strategy and ensure ABB remains the preferred partner for low- and medium-voltage service solutions.

Key responsibilities

Commercial & Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute the national sales and marketing strategy.
  • Achieve annual profitable growth and increase market share.
  • Analyze market developments installed base data and customer needs to identify new opportunities.
  • Lead tender processes negotiations and commercial decisions.
  • Ensure healthy pipeline development and accurate forecasting.

Customer Engagement & Market Development

  • Build strong relationships with industrial customers data centers and utilities.
  • Represent ABB in a competitive market as a trusted and knowledgeable partner.
  • Drive customer engagement through events campaigns and regular touchpoints.
  • Create long-term sustainable partnerships that support continuous growth.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and coach a motivated team of sales and service professionals.
  • Foster an open collaborative and performance-driven culture.
  • Develop talent set clear expectations and enable growth toward future (European) roles.
  • Strengthen smooth collaboration across field service inside sales and marketing.

Marketing & Positioning

  • Own the marketing strategy and brand positioning in the Netherlands.
  • Coordinate digital campaigns events and product communications with Product Marketing.
  • Bring valuable market insights to keep ABBs portfolio competitive.

Sales Support & Operational Processes

  • Optimize sales processes quote quality and response times.
  • Ensure operational excellence integrity and safety in all activities aligned with ABB values.

What you bring

  • At least 8 years of experience in sales management (e.g. Sales Manager Regional Manager).
  • Experience in service electrification or industrial sectors.
  • Bachelors or Masters level (HBO/WO) technical or commercial background preferred.
  • Affinity with low- medium- or high-voltage technology (nice to have not required).
  • Strong commercial and strategic mindset.
  • Leadership style: coaching honest energetic goaloriented and openminded.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Willing to travel approx. 2 days per week (Benelux occasional European trips).

Practical information

  • Location: Rotterdam Waalhaven
  • Work mode: 5070% on-site and with customers occasional home office
  • Travel: Regular Benelux occasional Europe
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
