Position Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving new business growth for AHI Facility Services by identifying developing and securing new client opportunities. This role focuses on prospecting relationship building proposal development and collaboration with internal teams to deliver customized facility service solutions.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting networking and lead generation
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to meet monthly and annual revenue goals
  • Conduct needs assessments and facility walkthroughs to understand client requirements
  • Develop customized facility service solutions aligned with client needs and budgets
  • Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
  • Attend industry events trade shows and networking functions to generate leads

Customer Renewals & Retention

  • Partner with Account Management to support contract renewals
  • Identify at-risk accounts and support retention strategies
  • Assist with renegotiation of contract terms and pricing as needed
  • Ensure smooth handoff from sales to operations and account management

RFP & Proposal Management

  • Research prepare and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Coordinate with operations finance and leadership teams to gather required information
  • Ensure proposals are accurate competitive timely and compliant
  • Track RFPs proposals and opportunities in the CRM system

Presentations & Negotiations

  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations
  • Present service solutions pricing and value propositions
  • Address client questions objections and concerns
  • Negotiate contracts scope of work and pricing
  • Close new business and secure executed agreements

Sales Performance & Reporting

  • Achieve or exceed assigned revenue targets
  • Maintain accurate CRM records pipeline tracking and forecasts
  • Provide regular sales activity and performance reports to leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience (facility services or commercial services preferred)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Experience with RFPs and proposal development
  • Strong communication presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel locally
