Job Summary
Hours: M-F 40 HRS per week 8:30am-5pm. Some required weekends for event days.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Continuing Medical Education Coordinator designs and implements continuing medical education courses and conferences from concept through completion under the supervision of the CME Director. Plans develops fulfills accreditation requirements markets manages budgets maintains paper and electronic records and designs evaluations for conferences and courses in accordance with internal policies and ACCME criteria standards and policies to address gaps in practice meet the educational needs of target audiences and improve clinical performance and patient outcomes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Designs continuing medical education courses that utilize adult learning principles to improve clinical performance and patient outcomes
- Manages and documents CME courses in accordance with ACCME criteria standards and policies and monitors activities for compliance
- Sources and contracts appropriate venues and vendors to secure needed resources (accommodations food transport AV etc.) required to host courses and conferences
- Develops and implements course marketing plans to achieve attendance goals
- Creates course budgets and manages expenses to prioritize resources based on the strategic objectives of the course and the department
- Solicits and manages exhibit and grant opportunities to support course budget requirements
- Communicates effectively with internal and external audiences and stakeholders to support the CME department and course planning and implementation process
- Collaborates with CME Technology Analyst to design the course experience through event technology including registration and exhibit websites audio-visual components lighting staging and other educational technology
- Creates and maintains current accurate and detailed records for CME courses utilizing data and event management software such as CloudCME and Cvent
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of a High School diploma GED Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement
- 1 year minimum of CME Continuing Professional Development (CPD) adult education and/or meeting planning experience required preferably in a health-care environment
- Proficiency in Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel throughout the JHACH service areas in a timely manner
Salary Range: Minimum 20.93/hour - Maximum 33.48/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
