As an EHS Manager based at our Huddersfield site you will be a key driver in strengthening a proactive safety culture across a complex and diverse operational environment. Supporting a top-tier COMAH site alongside R&D and engineering service activities you will act as a trusted advisor to the businessensuring compliance reducing risks and empowering teams to work safely and sustainably.
This role plays a critical part in enabling Arxadas long-term growth by protecting our people customers assets and communities while shaping and advancing the EHS strategy in alignment with broader company goals.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead and continuously improve the risk assessment programme across all business areas.
- Drive process safety management at the toptier COMAH site and ensure compliance with COMAH regulations and the COMAH intervention plan.
- Monitor report and enhance EHS performance metrics and manage local systems to maintain ISO 14001 certification.
- Lead investigations into serious incidents and near misses ensuring effective follow-up learning and prevention.
- Provide coaching and support to management and employees on EHS matters strengthening overall competency and awareness.
- Manage the local EHS audit programme and maintain robust emergency response procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree (. or .) in Chemistry or an Engineering-related field.
- NEBOSH Diploma and Chartered IOSH membership are essential.
- 10 years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment ideally with COMAH exposure.
- Strong ability to collaborate influence and build effective relationships at all levels across the business.
- Demonstrated agility business acumen and a strong results orientation.
- Full driving licence required as the role will involve visiting the Manchester site and occasional visits to customer sites.
