Aerospace Engineering & Technologies (E&T) China Team as part of Honeywell Technology Solutions China - an integrated R&D center of Honeywell in China is a multi-disciplinary team with over 20 years of contributions to Honeywells business development in the aerospace industry in China. As one of the largest aerospace R&D engineering team in China Honeywell Aerospace China Engineering team has around 200 scientists and engineers working in various global Center of Excellences on Avionics and Mechanical products and on aircraft programs by almost all airframes including COMAC AVIC Boeing Airbus Bombardier Embraer Gulfstream etc. The team is committed to create the best and new-to-the-world offerings in and out of the aerospace industry. With the dynamic and engaged team the engineers are working on projects dealing with state-of-the-art Aerospace technologies and developing by fulfilling demanding and challenging duties in a learning-intensive environment.

This position will be in Shanghai China. This is the role in Electronic Test Platform SGN (Sensing Guidance Navigation) team. The software team is responsible for architecting developing verifying for aerospace adjacent (Auto Pilot Vehicles). The team works closely with electrical engineers system engineers and customers across the company to deliver high quality products on a rapid development schedule.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibility:
Deliver highly reliable software for Honeywell Aerospace designed hardware.
End item test (EIT) software development for avionic products (ACE -- Actuator Control Equipment FCM Flight Control Module CNS communication Navigation Surveillance module INS Inertial Navigation System and other navigation related products).
Follow the Honeywell Aerospace software development process and write great software for manned autopilot vehicles.
Support product simulation test solution systems software and system development.
Work with team on SGN related products GNSS processing multi-Sensors fusion solution calibration compensation engineering test software development with Gyro Accelerometer Magnetometer GNSS Wheel Odometry etc. for autopilot application in both Aerospace and adjacent industries (Robotaxi Surveying Agriculture Auto Guidance vehicle)
QualificationsQualification:
Primary Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in aerospace engineering computer science electronic engineering math mechanical engineering navigation or equivalent.
3 years of experience writing embedded software in C C or a similar language
Experienced in algorithm development with C/C MATLAB SYSML V2
Basic knowledge in test software development on C C CVI/Labwindows Labview.
Must be able to work with international team and can take oversea short-term on-site work.
Strong oral and written communication skills both in Mandarin and English
Additional Qualifications:
Be able to work with international team and can take oversea short-term on-site work.
Navigation and Guidance products related test software solution development is highly preferred. (IMU AHRS GPAHRS GPADAHRS GNSS etc. )
Experienced in software for the ARM Cortex family or a similar microarchitecture
Working knowledge of hardware level software development including use of timers interrupts hardware peripherals such as SPI controllers and ADCs bootloaders and debug tools
Experience programming and testing high reliability safety critical and fault tolerant systems
Familiar with common electronic components and comfortable reading circuit design schematics and contributing to hardware design discussions
Aviation product design or testing experience is highly preferred
Experienced in multiple bare-metal and RTOS environment including FreeRTOS Linux understanding of operating system fundamentals including schedulers network stack file system memory management or other RTOS is plus.
Good customer interface skills with the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical personnel is preferred.
