Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential 0pportunity for a Remote Medical Support Assistant supporting the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City UT.

Position Details:
- 100% Remote - must live within the communting area
- Regular business hours: Monday Friday 8:00am 4:30pm
- No Nights Weekends or Holidays
- Benefits elitible position with 11 Paid Federal Holidays and PTO Avalable
Qualifications:
- U.S. residency required.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Strong oral and written English skills; basic medical terminology preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
- Ability to type at least 50 WPM and work with electronic medical records.
- Strong organizational skills; able to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to resolve customer concerns accurately and timely.
- No health restrictions that interfere with job duties.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate patient care and scheduling with internal and community providers.
- Ensure timely and accurate patient communication and appointment scheduling.
- Validate and update patient demographic information.
- Process medical records and integrate data into VA systems (CPRS VistA).
- Manage community care consults using VA systems (HSRM PPMS).
- Answer and respond to phone inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Use Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook Teams) daily.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients families and VA staff.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
