Job Summary
Overview
Challenger Lifts Inc. a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate that is capable of providingsupport through various projects which include but are not limited to design development and testing of products components and systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and modifying engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Support product design prototyping and testing activities.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on improvements.
- Help prepare technical documentation reports and specifications.
- Work with teams in Kaizen events to produce new processes to improve workflow.
- Collaborate with manufacturing quality and project teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Must have an eager attitude to learn and develop new skills
- Must be willing to be hands on with projects
- Must be willing to be forklift trained
- Ability to interact with peers and subordinates.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Working knowledge of:
o Blueprints
o Manufacturing processes
o Lean Methodologies
o Process design
o 6S practices
- Must have excellent communication skills including written (email correspondence report writing etc.) as well as formal and informal presentation skills.
- A solid understanding of process flow process design and lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with 3D modeling and simulation tools.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite products including Word Outlook Excel Access etc.
- Must align with the Snap-on Who We Are Mission statement.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest Steel Toe Shoes Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable) Gloves (If Applicable) and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).
