Job Summary

Job Title: Information Security Analyst

Reports to: Information Security Manager

Location:On site in Dublin or Cork Hybrid Remote

Job Purpose

As a member of the Information Security Team the post holder will proactively contribute to Cyber Security protection for the Bon Secours Health System ensuring the organisation is protectedagainst cyber-attacks and other unauthorised access and data breaches.

The post holders primary focus and responsibility will be around our technology solutions services and third-party security partners. They will also be part of a flexible and agile team and would be exposed to other areas of Information Security such as GRC Security Architecture Identity and access management security engineering and security operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain technology solutions and security services such as SIEM Threat and Vulnerability Management compliance monitoring solutions antimalware and more.
Manage the Microsoft 365 Security platform and its suite of tools to protect the IT environment
Operate flexibly and creatively in response to service requirements and changing circumstances and undertake any other security related duties that may be required from time to time.
Respond and contain cyber security incidents and identify eradication strategies
Author process improvement areas and new opportunities in technologies or capabilities
Work collaboratively with IT and business units in problem solving and remediation
Support in the development of security by design principles
Develop and refine policies procedures and guidelines relevant to your areas of responsibility
Engage with the business stakeholders and end users on day-to-day requirements and support
Identify new controls and perform regular testing of existing controls to ensure their ongoing effectiveness
Managed and work with outside partners in protecting the business and operations

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Third level qualification in Computer Science or related field.

AND

Information Security Certification

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

3 years in information security preferred Security CISSP
Networking

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a technical security role.
Familiar with compliance regulation IT security framework and best practices industry standards (i.e. ISO 27001 NIST PCI-DSS COBIT etc).
Experience conducting security audits and risk assessments.
Experience building policies and processes to minimise information security risks.
Understanding of security operations and SIEM technologies.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

Network configuration.
Cyber security.
Encryption methodologies.
Intrusion detection.
Palo Alto Firewall Microsoft security suite

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Excellent analytical skills and System Design experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent technical IT skills with high proficiency in Microsoft programs especially advanced Excel skills
Self-starter with ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
Proven multi-tasking experience whilst maintaining a high attention to detail.
Strong technical knowledge of networking (TCP/IP networks and protocols)
Strong experience with Windows Server and desktop operating systems
Experience with cyber security tools (Azure Defender EDR InTune Firewalls etc)
