Senior UNHCR Shop Supply Assistant
Organizational Setting and Work Relationships
The Global Infrastructure Section (GIS) is one of the four pillars of the Global Mobility and Infrastructure Service (GMIS) within the Division of Financial and Administrative Management (DFAM). The UNHCR Shop Unit falls within the Global Infrastructure Section.
The UNHCR Shop aims to procure sell and dispatch core visibility and promotional items to UNHCR staff and operations worldwide. It supports public outreach by providing items for events and helps ensure brand compliance across the full range of visibility items and merchandise. The overall objective of the UNHCR Shop is to assist colleagues worldwide in mobilizing additional financial support for UNHCR and in raising awareness and empathy for forcibly displaced people.
The Senior UNHCR Shop Supply Assistant contributes to the efficient operation of the UNHCR Shop particularly in relation to the units supply chain. The incumbent supports the unit with procurement tasks inventory management shipment and logistics coordination reporting and order processing. The UNHCR Shop Supply Assistant actively engages in collaborative brainstorming sessions contributing creative ideas and proposing innovative solutions to shape the shops future. The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Assistant UNHCR Shop Officer.
