Position Summary
The Team Leader is responsible for leading prioritizing and directing production staff on all primary operations and job functions. They ensure the safety quality and output of their area while adhering to all relevant legislation policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Utilize OPS and relevant machine and Team boards to monitor daily production and quality output addressing excessive downtime as needed.
- Schedule daily production allocate resources ensure vacation coverage and manage overtime activity.
- Conduct department employee meetings at the start of each shift and participate in Gemba walks.
- Provide timely feedback to enhance performance and foster a positive work environment for employees.
- Offer feedback and recommendations for training or coaching personnel.
- Complete Team Leader 5S and verification audits.
- Collect and reconcile work orders.
- Monitor preventative maintenance activities to ensure completion.
- Enforce compliance with all Health & Safety Environmental Legal Quality and Oetiker policies and procedures.
- Lead and implement OPS improvements.
Qualifications :
Knowledge Skills Abilities
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- College diploma preferably in a relevant field would be considered an asset
- Completion of the Ontario Management Development Program (OMDP)
- 2-4 years of supervisory experience in automotive manufacturing or a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of IATF 16949
