This role is a pivotal position within our cutting-edge Agentic AI practice sitting at the intersection of Generative AI software engineering and employee enablement. As the Product Owner you will define the future of human-AI collaboration at Rituals.
You will hold the keys to our Agentic AI Platform the foundational infrastructure that powers our intelligent agents. Concurrently you will drive the product strategy for two of our most transformative initiatives an intelligent assistant empowering our retail staff globally and an AI-driven coach dedicated to the development and career trajectory of our employees.
Your mission is to move beyond simple chatbots and build autonomous goal-oriented agents that can reason plan and execute tasks to solve complex business problems. You will work closely with AI engineers Staff Engineers business stakeholders and the Head of AI to translate operational needs into scalable safe and high-impact agentic solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Discovery & Strategy: Lead the investigation to identify high-value use cases where autonomous agents can augment human potential. Define clear scopes for new agents (working with AI Pathfinders) within Retail Operations and HR.
- Product Vision & Ownership: Own the end-to-end vision and roadmap for the Agentic AI Platform ensuring it supports the scalable deployment of specific agentic architectures like the AI Assistant and the AI-driven career coach.
- Business Value Creation: Partner with business stakeholders (e.g. Retail Directors HR Leadership) to create compelling business cases. Quantify the impact of agents on efficiency employee satisfaction and revenue lift.
- Team Leadership & Operating Rhythm: Drive and inspire cross-departmental AI delivery teams. Establish the rhythm to manage the complexity of non-deterministic AI development.
- Backlog & Prioritization: Distinguish and prioritize between platform capabilities (e.g. memory tool usage orchestration) and application features.
- Prototyping & Production Readiness: Own the transition from experimental agents to dependable production systems by defining robustness standards failure-handling patterns observability and continuous learning loops that ensure agents deliver value.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the primary interface between the technical delivery team and business sponsors managing expectations around the capabilities and limitations of current LLM technology.
- Adoption & Change Management: Drive the adoption of these new digital colleagues. Work with process design specialists to ensure store staff and employees trust and instinctively reach for their AI tools.
- Performance & Impact: Establish measurable success criteria for agents (task completion tool accuracy user trust resolution quality) and use data insights to guide iteration and prioritization.
- Knowledge & Capability Building: Establish Agentic AI literacy by translating how agents reason retrieve knowledge and execute tasks into practical understanding. Enable stakeholders to confidently collaborate with AI solutions.
- Governance & Scaling: Collaborate with Principal Architect and Staff Engineer to ensure the Agentic Platform integrates cleanly with the broader Rituals ecosystem.
- Responsible AI: Translate our AI governance framework into your agents. Ensure the AI-assistent & AI-driven career coach operate within clearly defined guardrails uphold data privacy standards and promote fairness and bias mitigation while reinforcing human-in-the-loop oversight where appropriate.
Qualifications :
- Senior Product Ownership: Proven experience owning the vision and roadmap of technical products preferably within the AI Automation or Platform space in complex organizations.
- Agentic AI & GenAI Fluency: Strong understanding of the modern AI stack (LLMs RAG Vector Databases) and Agentic concepts (Planning Tool Use Memory Orchestration frameworks like LangChain/AutoGen).
- User-Centric Design: Experience designing AI-powered experiences for non-technical users (e.g. retail staff) with a strong focus on clarity trust and reducing cognitive load in day-to-day workflows.
- Business Context: Prior exposure to Retail Operations and/or HR (Learning & Development) or the ability to rapidly grasp domain workflows and translate them into practical product decisions.
- Process Simplification Mindset: A track record of automating complex workflows and reducing cognitive load for users through intelligent product design.
- Stakeholder Management: Comfortable navigating diverse interests managing AI hype and grounding discussions in reality and value.
- Responsible AI Mindset: Deep knowledge of the risks associated with GenAI (hallucinations prompt injection) and the ability to implement safeguards evaluation practices and human oversight into the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
- 5 years in Product Management / Product Ownership for digital products.
- Degree in Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Information Systems Business Informatics or a related field or equivalent professional experience demonstrating comparable analytical and technical depth.
- Demonstrated experience delivering Generative AI LLM or Conversational AI products in collaboration with AI/ML engineering teams within an Agile delivery environment
