Position Overview
EAG Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Analyst ICPMS to join our Syracuse NY laboratory. This role focuses on trace and ultratrace elemental analysis using Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICPMS) in a fastpaced industrial testing environment.

Key Responsibilities
ICPMS Analysis & Reporting
- Perform trace and ultratrace elemental analysis using ICPMS
- Analyze a wide range of materials including:
- Metals and alloys
- Semiconductorrelated materials
- Highpurity and specialty materials
- Prepare run and evaluate calibration standards blanks and QC samples
- Interpret analytical data and generate clear customerready reports
- Identify and address spectral and matrix interferences
Sample Preparation
- Prepare samples using techniques such as:
- Acid digestion (microwave or hot block)
- Dilutions and standard preparation
- Maintain strong contamination control and documentation practices
- Follow laboratory safety procedures when handling acids and reagents
Instrumentation & Troubleshooting
- Operate maintain and troubleshoot ICPMS instrumentation
- Perform routine performance checks tuning and maintenance
- Investigate outofspec results and recommend corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement of analytical methods and workflows
Collaboration & Quality
- Work closely with laboratory staff to meet customer timelines
- Prioritize work effectively in a highthroughput industrial lab
- Comply with internal quality systems safety requirements and ISO 27001 information security standards
Work Schedule
- Primary schedule: 3:30 PM 2:00 AM MondayThursday
- Alternate schedule: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM MondayFriday
Candidates must be comfortable working the evening shift based on business needs.

- Bachelors degree in Materials Science Chemistry Engineering or Associated degree and 2 years of relevant analytical experience
- Strong experience with trace elemental analysis
- Experience working in industrial QC contract lab or manufacturingsupport environments preferred

- Solid understanding of ICPMS fundamentals calibration and QC
- Experience handling acids and performing sample digestion safely
- Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills

- Ability to communicate clearly and understandably ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance over the telephone and in a group setting.
- Ability to handle small and fragile devices with tweezers and /or fingers.
