Overview

The Dosimetry Lab Technician supports the production and analysis of accredited laboratory results by operating specialized machinery and performing light manufacturing tasks within a controlled laboratory environment. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy consistency and quality of radiation dose measurements and laboratory outputs. A successful technician demonstrates strong attention to detail aptitude for problemsolving and a commitment to following standardized work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Operate laboratory machinery and equipment that analyze radiationdetecting dosimeters and related products.
  • Review and validate machinegenerated analytical data to ensure accuracy and adherence to laboratory standards.
  • Perform routine machine operations calibrations quality control checks and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical records including logs calibration documents and analysis outputs.
  • Identify troubleshoot and correct anomalies in laboratory processing; escalate issues when necessary.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) safety protocols and quality requirements for accredited laboratory operations.
  • Perform continuous visual or digital inspections using specialized software or imaging systems (as applicable to equipment).
  • Conduct work center housekeeping equipment cleanouts and other tasks to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with data review or quality teams regarding analysis findings or discrepancies.
  • Work overtime based on business cycle requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Comfort working independently and operating PCbased workstations and Microsoft applications (Word Excel etc.).
  • Ability to maintain focus and accuracy during repetitive or highvolume inspection tasks.
  • Basic math and statistical competency to interpret and convert data results.
  • No prior dosimetry or laboratory experience required; full onthejob training provided.

Preferred

  • Experience in quality control manufacturing inspection laboratory work radiology or other regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with SOPdriven production environments or ISOaccredited laboratory settings.
  • Experience with automated machinery digital imaging software or datadriven inspection processes.

Work Environment

This role operates within a light manufacturing and laboratory setting that supports accredited dosimetry analysis. Technicians will regularly work with automated equipment imaging systems and PC workstations. Extended periods of standing sitting or onscreen work may be required depending on assigned tasks.
