JOB SUMMARY:
Writes standard operating procedures based on various input.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reads and interprets technical training and procedural prose. Organizes and groups similar sections of prose. Rewrites prose as simple and straightforward text. Assembles sections of standard operating procedure consistent with established template.
- Proofreads and corrects standard operating procedure for grammatical typographical and compositional errors adhering to formatting standards and guidelines.
- Maintains paper and electronic files of all documentation.
- Works directly with management to obtain clarify and gain approval for information within the training documentation.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree from a four year college or university in English - Technical Writing
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 Years experience in the procedure writing required
- 3-5 Years experience in technical/procedure writing preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
