Description

The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is seeking an Open Rank faculty position within our multidisciplinary Cerebral Spinal Fluid Disorder Center. We welcome a dedicated and innovative clinician to join our collaborative team of physiatrists neurosurgeons and physical therapists committed to advancing the diagnosis and treatment of CSF disorders. Work in a state-of-the-art academic medical center with CSF disorder research and treatment facilities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to diagnosis treat and provide longitudinal care for these chronic diseases. Participate in research and education in CSF dynamics hydrocephalus and intracranial hypertension and engage in teaching medical students residents and fellows.



Responsibilities

CLINICAL - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose treat and provide longitudinal care for patients with hydrocephalus and intra cranial hypertension.

TEACHING - Engage teaching medical students residents and fellows.



Qualifications

Minimum:

Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching academic research and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Associate or Full Professor. For Associate/Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.

Must hold or be eligible for a full unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent required. To perform this position the candidate will need to obtain and maintain a full un-restricted FL Medical License maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals he/she is assigned to perform clinical duties. The candidate will participate in the teaching of residents fellows and medical students in clinical medicine.

Preferred:

Experience in management of cerebral spinal fluid disorders is preferred but not required.
