Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract with the potential for a permanent position. This role is integral to the manufacture of high-quality products for the meteorological and commercial weather measurement markets. - Contract Type: 6-month fixed term (potential for temp-to-perm)
- Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am 3:45 pm; Friday 7:00 am 11:30 am
- Starting Salary: 24800 (increasing to 25100 upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period)
Responsibilities
As an Assembly Operator you will play a key role in ensuring the production of high-quality products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assembling products using hand tools and assembly jigs.
- Conducting testing to specified parameters and recording results on works orders/lot cards.
- Identifying and recording non-conforming products.
- Performing quality inspections on your own work.
- Maintaining bench stock items and inspecting bench tools and manufacturing aids.
- Utilizing in-house PC systems for production processes.
- Adhering to standard construction and build times.
Qualifications

Additional advantageous experience includes:
- Soldering and wiring experience.
- Previous electromechanical assembly experience using work instructions.
- Familiarity with test equipment.
- PC literacy with general numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience with manual handling.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 standards including ATEX and CSA procedures.
Day-to-Day
Your daily activities will involve:
- Assembling and testing products to meet high-quality standards.
- Recording and maintaining accurate production data.
- Inspecting your work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean organized and efficient workspace.
- Collaborating with team members to meet production goals.
