We are at the beginning of aglobal energy transformationof a scalenot seenin generations.A future low-cost low-carbonelectricgrid serving a world thatelectrifies everythingis within our reach.
The last remaining gap is breaking the link between electricity supplyand demand. Thelowest-cost most sustainablesources ofenergytoday come from intermittent renewablegeneration;but our homes businesses and industries needelectricity at the flick of a switch.
That gap can be closed by energy storage: Devices that store electricity when it is plentiful thenprovide powerback to the grid when it is includingones usinglithium-ion batteriesare being deployed in massive numberstostart filling thisgap. But so farnone of those solutionshave proventhe abilityto deliverpowerany time anywhere over decades of service: The level of reliability weve come to expect and that the future grid will need.
This is the biggest challenge in energy at the forefront of finding a solution. And we need you tohelp us deliver it.

Role Purpose
The Assembly Worker is responsible for the precise and efficient assembly of panel components used in Vanadium Flow Battery (VFB) systems. This role requires attention to detail mechanical capability and the ability to work with specialised tools materials and processes to ensure high-quality leak-free and structurally sound battery panels.
Key Responsibilities
Panel Assembly
Assemble battery panels and subcomponents following technical drawings work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Potentially handle membranes frames electrodes gaskets seals and fasteners carefully to prevent contamination or damage.
Ensure correct alignment compression and fastening of panel stacks to required tolerances.
Quality Control
Conduct in-process checks and final inspections to verify panels meet dimensional and quality standards.
Identify defects such as misalignment seal issues surface damage or contamination.
Record assembly data accurately including batch numbers measurements and inspection outcomes.
Equipment & Process
Use hand tools
Potential work within chemical handling protocols relating to electrolytes or cleaning agents (training provided).
Follow EHS procedures around handling vanadium electrolyte components and cleanroom/controlled-environment practices where applicable.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work collaboratively with Production Technicians Engineers and Quality teams to solve assembly issues.
Suggest improvements in processes tooling and work methods to enhance repeatability and efficiency.
Participate in training cross-skilling and improvement initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
Essential
Experience in technical or precision assembly work (electronics automotive aerospace precision manufacturing etc.).
Ability to follow detailed technical instructions drawings and quality standards.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Basic mechanical understanding and confidence using hand tools.
